The Globe and Mail is reporting today that the Montreal Based printing company Transcontinental wants to spend $50 million on small web companies to boost its Internet presence. Yesterday it bought a Quebec company, Zoupla Communications Inc. for a rumoured couple of million dollars. That company operates Recettes.qc.ca. This acquisition stems from planning made after a strategic review that the company undertook last year.
