Creation Step Launches Indoor Playground
![]() ![]() The news is full of stories about nomadic professionals who drift from Starbucks to Starbucks in a restless search for the ideal temporary office in which to ply their trades. The new consulting class, it seems, wants to work in their home office one day and out of it the next. The problem with Starbucks -- or other local coffee joints -- is that there is always a distraction and the wireless connectivity fees are ridiculous. Well, there are options: those ubiquitous, sterile shared office spaces that look like they were squeezed out of the same design tube as old Soviet-style communal housing. Can you spell u-g-l-y ? Thats why Creation Step's Mark Dowds launched a low-cost "Indoor Playground" space in Toronto's Queen West area. Dowd knew people are looking for alternative places to hang their hats where the ambience is, well, creative. If you're an uptight Bay Street type forget this space. There are no secretaries to get your coffee -- bring your own pot or even your coveted espresso maker. Who needs Red Bull when you've got Kicking Horse? Here is what Creation Step has to say about the space: Indoor Playground is located within a top floor brick and beam loft at 364 Richmond St W (Richmond and Peter). This accessible location has a beautiful view of the Toronto cityscape and is creatively designed to have an industrial look and feel. It is within walking distance from the subway and to some of Toronto's best shopping and eating spots.
